Study on the Interactions Between Typical Coal Ash Components and Pyrolysis Products

Abstract In order to clarify the mechanism of coal pyrolysis with ash as the heat carrier,thermodynamic(HSC)and experimental study on the interactions between typical ash components(CaSO4 and Fe2O3)and pyrolysis products(H2,CO,CH4 and char)are carried out.The results show that the pyrolytic reducing gas(H2,CO)reacts withCaSO4 or Fe2O3 in the pyrolysis temperature range,leading to the decrease in H2 and CO concentration but increase in CO2 concentration.Char is oxidized by CaSO4 or Fe2O3 into CO and CO2,and the dominant gaseous products are CO2at low temperature and CO at high temperature.In addition,thermodynamic and experimental results show that compared with CaSO4 and Fe2O3 has higher reactivity,preferentially reacting with pyrolytic gas or char.
