Abstract
In order to improve the molding process and properties, the adamantane type bismaleimide with high heat resistant was added into the diallyl bisphenol a modified bismaleimide resin(BD resin) to form a copolymerization system. The curing process and kinetics of the copolymerization system with or without the introduction of adamantane structure were studied by using Kingger equation. At the same time, the mechanical properties and microstructure of the curing products were studied. The results showed that the heat resistance of BD resin was increased due to the introduction of adamantane structure, and the 40% weight loss temperature was increased by more than 20 ℃.The cured products of the copolymerization system had good mechanical properties and the bending strength was up to 117.4 MPa.After the introduction of amantadane type bismaleimide, the apparent activation energy of ‘ene’ curing reaction decreased, while that of ‘Diels-Alder’ curing reaction increased, and the reaction order was about 0.9.Therefore,the amantadane bismaleimide resin copolymerization system had excellent comprehensive properties such as heat resistance, mechanical properties, and the processability had been optimized.
